Ayden on his Changing Mat

When Ayden was just a newborn, he will cry loudly when we put him on his changing mat. I think he must be thinking "Why are you putting me on the mat when all I want is to drink milk?" As time passes, he gets less resistant about changing. I guess it is because he has realised that it is something that has to be done whether he likes it or not... So, may as well take it happily!

Ayden was really happy when I snap the shots, showing lots of "patterns" and actions haha... Click on the collage to see it clearly.

Ayden and his Hat

Whenever we bring Ayden out, he always seem so uncomfortable in the sun, with his eyes almost closed. I was also worried that he's getting darker and darker. So, I bought him a hat the other day :) I only realised how much it is when I went to pay for it... $30+ sgd! And it's such a small newborn hat with so little materials!

Ayden peeping out from under his hat. His hat seems too big for him!

Looking afar...

I think he looks like a fisherman in this hat!

Even after taking off his hat, his hair still stands up! He looks a little cranky in this pic as it is near his bedtime.

Ayden's First Words

Recently, Ayden is more talkative and loves to talk when he's happy. Sometimes, he will look at me very intently and make a series of sounds, like he's telling me stories! They are linked, instead of just a sound individually.

I managed to capture a video of it :)

Ayden learns Crawling

Every few days, we will put Ayden on his stomach. By doing this, he will have a different viewpoint and this position can exercise his different sets of muscles. Till now, his only interest seems to be sucking his hand. Hmmm... Maybe it looks more appetizing from this angle?

The other day, Ayden was asleep in his swing when it suddenly stopped and he was awaken by it. Daddy changed the batteries and for awhile it worked, then it stopped again. Ayden immediately made some "questioning" sounds as if to say "See! My swing stops again. Why?" Haha...

Ayden's First Outing in his Stroller

We brought Ayden out using a stroller last weekend. It was really tiring work, navigating a stroller in HK's "full of slopes and stairs" terrains. The stroller we have weighs about 10kg and Vin has to lug it whenever there's slopes and stairs. We have tried all kind of equipment to bring Ayden out and no doubt, the Ergo bag, wins all in terms of convenience. However, when the weather gets hotter, it will be really too hot for Ayden to be in the bag.

Ayden's Favourite Spot

When Ayden is not sleeping, we will bring him to the living room. He can sit on his swing or we will carry him while watching TV. He's always attracted to the TV but of course, we don't let him watch it. So we will always carry him in such a way that he faces the bar counter (opposite from the TV) instead. We soon noticed that he loves looking at the bar counter and found that it is because the bar counter is reflective and he can see the TV blurry images and colour from there!

Nowadays, he likes to be in a sit up position, rather than in a lying down position. I guess it is because the view point is different. Guess his favourite sitting place?... On the sofa, in front of the TV! :) Just like many of us!

This morning, I placed him on the sofa, lying down but propped up with the sofa cushions. I also wrapped a blanket around him as it was a bit chilly. He was happily kicking away. He even managed to kick off the blanket and it dropped on the floor. He immediately gave a short cry to let me know that his blanket has dropped and asked me to pick it up for him!

Another view of Ayden on the sofa. He looks older than his two months in this pic.
