Ayden Sitting Up

This is one of my favourite pictures of Ayden. He has the "Curious George" expression, and looks so inquisitive and playful. He can sit unsupported for quite a long period but he will always tumble when he sucks his hands or try to reach for something beyond his "reach".

Initially, I put him on the sofa, lying on one of the pillows. He managed to wriggle himself stuck in between the pillows. And was happily waving his hands and kicking his legs.

Ayden on an Outing

We will try to bring Ayden out at least once a week. We will try to have quick and simple meals as we need to take turns carrying him and eat. Actually, now that we have moved house to less "slope" terrains, we can consider taking the stroller out. Hmmm... But it's really heavy and hard to maneuver. I'm still trying to convince Vin to get another lighter stroller :p

"Just Bathed" Ayden

The first thing Ayden will do when we pull him out of the water after bathing is to suck his fingers! Hmmm... Maybe there's some soap water that's tasty?

After we bought the expensive loveys, we found out that Ayden actually loves his bolster more! Sometimes he will stir from his sleep, hug hug and smell smell his bolster and goes back to sleep. I captured this cute video of video using my new iPhone 4. When he's sleepy and refused to sleep, he will talk a lot when we put him on the bed.

And Ayden has learnt how to sit unsupported. Now his favourite activity is for us to hold him to stand and walk. Even when he's about to cry, when we carry him to stand, he will smile.

When Ayden was just born, Vin's colleagues bought us a very nice playmat from Kaloo. It is very colourful and comfy. We can also hang some toys from it.

Ayden and his Lovey

We went to get a cute little lovey for Ayden. We are supposed to get at least get 2 so that we can interchange and wash them. However, I wanted Ayden to try the lovey first to see if he likes it before we get another one. It is quite expensive!

The lovey is a very soft sleeping bear. Anyone looking at it will bound to fall asleep within minutes. As for Ayden, of course it didn't work out that way! But at least, it is a safe sleeping toy.

Monkey Monkey Ayden

It is indeed a very hot summer. Ayden has only one singlet and it is getting a bit short for him. We tried to buy new ones from Mothercare but they only have sleeveless shirts for girls. Even at such a young age, girls have more choices of clothes than boys!

When I took this photo, he was in one of his "Don't want sleep, want play" mood and the description on his shirt was so apt! Haha. Beside him is a teething toy bought by my sis. He loves it a lot and is always chewing on it. But he prefers the green round top, rather than the red rings as he can put the whole top into his mouth.

Ayden's Grandaunt Chris and Aunt Priscilla came over to visit us for a few days. They brought along a really cool present for him... A toy worm! This worm has a lot of colourful segments, each with a different way of play. Ayden loves the squeaky one best!

Watching the sunset outside the window! This is one of his "winding down" activity before his bedtime. He will stay very quiet and look out for at least 10 mins without moving much. I wonder what goes on in his mind...
